I accidentally killed my first horse because I crashed it near a river bank among some rocks. It was angled in such a way that its front half was submerged and its ass was on the rocks.
I couldn't get on it or push it out of that position before...
Not surprised it was an unplayable cluster fuck. I'm pretty sure I've seen devs mention in the past that it's been tried internally and wasn't fun. I guess that was true. Battlefield just isn't really built for it in the same way, say, PlanetSide...
I've seen similar complaints floating around, I've never gotten one or heard anyone I know complain about it.
Do you have anything hooking the game like RTSS or an overlay of some kind?
It's probably going to run like absolute shit in any game that you manage it enable it on.
It also technically worked on my GTX 1080 but is basically useless besides "Hey, it works. And I have 10 fps."
Yes, this is one thing that helps Nanite saves space.
The rest is you maybe being able to get away with avoiding high resolution textures. Even at over a million triangles, the Nanite mesh is smaller than a single 4k normal map.
Plus Epic also...
