Agree it's overpriced and probably has something like 16 dimming zones like the GP950. This will be probably something like 1500 euros here in Finland and that's absurd. At about 1000 I'd consider it as it otherwise ticks a lot of my boxes.
We...
Yeah I really don't get why they went for 240 Hz on these and then don't support something in between like 144 Hz, 165 Hz etc. that might be free of these issues.
A 40" 5120x2160 screen is effectively an ultrawide version of a 32" 4K 16:9 and you don't gain a huge amount of extra desktop space when you want to apply some DPI scaling to make text and UI easier to read. With a 32" 4K 16:9 plus a side monitor...
The curve isn't really needed on this IPS panel. I'd rather not have the distortion, but it's pretty mild with this 2500R curve.
A single large monitor is much better than multiple monitors in my experience.
I'm hoping for an even larger...
These monitors go through revisions very frequently. The Neo G9 is just now on the 3rd almost a year after launch (shows CC03 on the back). When I went by a friends to check it out the frequency of scanlines was greatly reduced as was the...
In my experience there is no issue running MacOS at odd scaling settings as long as you have 4K+ resolution. For anything less unless it's a laptop display there's just no point to using scaling in the first case.
To explain the issue to others...
Check if you have DSR factors enabled. It can block the custom res feature.
Seems to me the best option would be to run at 120 Hz on the desktop and use 240 Hz in gaming as you are unlikely to notice the scanline issue. Wonder what causes it...
Sharpness 56 was to me "off" on my Samsung CRG9 but they may have changed it. It was very weird. I think the best way to figure this out is different colored small text sizes on various backgrounds as that was when I noticed that 60 had a bit of...
OLED has incredibly low pixel response times but a good chunk higher input lag than the fastest "gaming" monitors these days, which have almost negligible input lag. While the TN would have more motion blur it might "feel" more responsive.
But...
Vega how do you feel about the curvature on this thing? I imagine it could work favorably if you had two of these but as one display it does look weird. I've seen my friend's G7 and wasn't too bothered about it but still thought it was a bit weird.
Man, I sympathize with you l88bastard but if I were that csr and you talked to me like that, I'd be lmao and not help you :p. A bottom rung csr is clearly not informed.
Damn this monitor is sweet. BTW there are scan-lines at 240 Hz.
10-bit color works at 240 Hz.
None of my DP cables would work, I had to use the short thick DP cable included. Going to have to buy a fiber optic DP cable looks like.
The...
There is benefit to 120 Hz when scrolling through documents, as evidenced by Apple’s use of 120Hz on iphones, but not much. When in motion you can clean more info from a document but it isn’t a massive difference. I would not BUY a 60Hz monitor...
I've used the LG CX 48" OLED TV as my main desktop monitor for two years without experiencing eye fatigue. But these are very personal things. I would expect CRTs to be more likely to cause eye fatigue because they are not as pin sharp as LCDs...
Glad I am amusing you. But once again, your urbane yet somehow utterly inscrutable meandering banality when it comes to having a coherent conversation here leads me to believe you are either a bot, someone on some pretty serious drugs, or...
You don't. It is done automatically after x hours of cumulative use on the LG OLEDs when the display is turned OFF as long as it's connected to power. It is invisible to the user. While you can run it manually, I haven't done so during the two...
