I've got the spare cash: 5950? Opinions?

As someone who does not use their PC for half the stuff you listed but has a 5950X, go for it! It's a great chip. The most I have pushed mine is running VMs, web browsing, music and gaming at the same time... it didn't even miss a beat. Plus, if you luck out with silicon, the 5950X can gain a...

Did I Degrade or Destroy my 5950x? Now with a response from Asus on page 2!

Seems low considering your temp of only 60C... CB20 nets me 11530 on my 5950x (or thereabouts roughly) but my CPU temp will easily hit 75C+ during the run. In CB23 I score around 30200. Also, not familiar with the ASUS bios, but anything AGESA 1.2.0.5 or above has a PBO bug with EDC above 140...

Did I Degrade or Destroy my 5950x? Now with a response from Asus on page 2!

Your power settings for a 5950X on PBO are REALLY LOW. For comparison, I have posted mine below; I also manually set my temperature limit to 85C (vs. 90C). I sit at about 80C solid all the time when running simulations in my VMs, been doing it for close to a year with no issues or degradation...

First world problems...(to keep or sell?)

I'd quit the job and keep the PC... lol. Work life balance FTW.

Ryzen Master - PBO Curve Optimizer Control - Configure in Windows Now!

Your power settings seem insane for a 5600X. My 5950X runs at much lower settings. You might want to look at your TDC, EDC and PPT settings and lower them manually. I found I got much better MT and ST scores and performance (plus MUCH lower temps) setting them myself and tweaking accordingly...

Evga 3090 ftw3 next to evga 3090ti ftw

So, I have a 3090 FTW3U now... how much "better" is it in terms of 4K gaming performance? Yeah, I've seen benchmarks and all, but curious from first hand experience. I don't have trouble running anything at 4K with RT right now, but I also have a 500W vBIOS on my 3090, so I am curious how a...

Do you remember your history of smartphones?

Just smart phones eh? EZ PZ.... I keep them until they die or apps I use no longer work reliably. Motorolla Droid X (I replaced the screen and battery once each, this phone lasted me a long time) LG G4 (loved the camera on this one; but the motherboard died twice after replacement) Samsung...

Ryzen Master - PBO Curve Optimizer Control - Configure in Windows Now!

It reads whatever I have in the Bios. If I do not open it; the bios remains the default until I open Ryzen Master, at which point Ryzen Master takes priority of OC values. Ryzen Master (AFAIK) does not "write" to the bios beyond what's loaded within windows. It's how I work around the Vcore...

Ryzen Master - PBO Curve Optimizer Control - Configure in Windows Now!

I used Prime 95, single thread to test the best cores at -20 one by one. Once i cycled all 6 of the -20 cores, I increased the thread count in P95 by 1 each time and kept testing till I hit all threads (took forever to say the least). The -30's were only tested at MT loads and was a "gamble"...

Ryzen Master - PBO Curve Optimizer Control - Configure in Windows Now!

Correct. It's an offset, so lower values = higher clocks at lower voltages. So using negative numbers, you are under-volting and essentially allowing the CPU to boost higher over the range of allowable voltages (up to 1.5V). It is by far the best way to overclock Ryzen 5000 CPUs for ST and MT...

Ryzen Master - PBO Curve Optimizer Control - Configure in Windows Now!

All i have to say is.... about freaking time! It was a huge PITA to tune my setup per core, stress testing, then going back to the bios to adjust and then start the process all over again. It might be a little late for me I suppose as I have everything tuned, but if I had to do this all over...

    X570 chipset differences?

I have the mobo below... I think it's been replaced by the X570S model. Has 3 NVME slots. 1 is 4x directly to the CPU, the other 2 slots are on the chipset and share the 4x bandwidth to the CPU. All PCIe 4.0 of course. However, you can RAID the nvme drives in 0/1/10 if you wanted to. I have...

    Does HDR impact FPS?

I've been using HDR in Windows 10 for games and desktop use (I turn it down to 6% for desktop) for 3 years now... I have had no issues or problems and it works (and looks) great. HDR gaming is amazing IMO and I could never go back at this point.

dual 3090 ti SLI/ nvlink early benching

I discovered SLi was dead when I went from 2 1080's to a 2080Ti... and so on and so fourth... I haven't looked back since. I think your going to see DLSS improved vs. any effort towards SLi/NVLink and mgpu. There is no money in it for game developers and people who can afford 2 video cards...
