I recall one of the first "zombie" mods to Half Life or HLF2 (pretty sure it was 1), came as a stand-alone 1-3 level 'demo' that was available on one of the PC Gamer demo discs at the time, this is before many of us had access to broadband so those demo CD's were a lifesaver to try out new stuff...
....this god @($*3 game is not any closer to being installed or playable....but the box turned out fine :D
Thermaltake basic black case
GSkill 850w PS (just in case)
I5-13600KF on a B660 MB paried up with 32g of Gskill Ripjaws 6000 and an MSI 4070, hosted on a 2tb Samsung 990 Pro...most of this...
Thread Capping!........the build is COMPLETE thanks to a fellow HardOCP Veteran who hooked me up, and I'm damn close to budget.
However nothing........absolutely nothing could prepare me for the WEAPONS-GRADE STUPIDITY of the MSFS Installation Process! Holy fucknutz it's RIDICULOUS! EVERY...
Well..wait.....isn't OLED the most power-hungry of all the display technologies, and also...and this is sorta key..*the dimmest*??? This is a portable device, if you use an OLED in any kind of natural light, what happens. Also, Image retention...burn in....whatever you want to call it. It's...
Never heard of em. I was a GameTrailers and FiringSquad guy before YouTube destroyed the hosted web site business for anything that wasn't built around sales and commerce. I'm assuming these guys did something like that....(???)....... You know, back when Amazon sold mostly books......

Try finding a text review that isn't 8 paragraphs of those machine-written 'talking in circles' sites to get you to keep scrolling-down past 30 advertisements......
I for one welcome our new Text overlords.

7000 series APU's from AMD can contain either the 680m or the 780m part....the 780m chips had a $250 premium when I last checked, but really didn't deliver $250 worth of performance improvement. Just posted for awareness, the 7000 series contains one of two iGPU's depending on their tier.
Sorry that was referring to Alan Wake 2's bad press, GTA VI could announce the same thing and people would just go "Welp, guess I need that 4090"...and start shopping. Translated: GTA VI sells hardware upgrades, Alan Wake 2.......thinking....not so much.
Also scuttlebutt on the interwebs...
I'll keep this in mind when I don't buy Alan Wake 2 for PC due to its requirements, but wind up getting it for $14.99 on sale next spring on Xbox where it'll "just work" and be "pretty enough for the likes of me". While it's inevitable that games take advantage of features not present on old...
