Just to show NH U12A I used on 12900K worked fine and it would be close to the same on 14900K if you set your CPU especially with TVB offsets.PC Gaming would be 100% fine
12900K Tamed On Cinebench With Noctua - NH U12A chromax Black Air Cooler...
Will I spent $2400 Canadian on 14Gen CPU's and all I was expecting was a CPU clock boost with PC Game performance the same.It did not work out and I am not impressed at all.
It is what it is,I buy crap all the time and I am rarely not impressed...
Well I have had
MSI z690 DDR4
ASUS z690DDR5
ASUS z790DDR5
Good question the runs I showed for 13700KF were actually done on the ASUS Z690 and the 14900KF was done on the ASUS z790.
I just ran some Cyberpunk benchmarks on 14600K at 6000Mhz on...
Well an air cooler can run PC Games on 14900K and the air cooler you have is fine.
From experience and I am not trying to change your mind in anyway, buy the new stuff for fun.
My 13700KF is faster in games than my 14600K and 2x14900KF but I am...
14600K 6100Mhz Cinebench CPUz Run test
14600K 6100Mhz Cinebench CPUz Run test .
Since I just installed the 14600K after removing 14900KF,these are just test to see if the 14600K can run with boost clocks over 6000Mhz+.
Scores will be lower...
Thought you may find this interesting
Opps 14900KF Forgot I had LLC 6 on Asus Board 475 Watts before downclock and no crash lol.
Had Temperature set to 115℃ and was seeing how many watts these 14900's can use.Just using AIO 360MM maybe need...
Someone asked me for v-core while running a 14900KF at 6000Mhz all core,so I will share for anyone interested.
Still working on the overclock it is too early to call stable settings.
EDIT: Cyberpunk 1.34v-1.36v 60/44
V-Core reading from...
Well the CPU are new and default settings hit 370 watts out of the box. I will be doing various overclocks but for now I settled on the 14900Kf to run
all P-cores 6000Mhz with boost to 6300Mhz
E-Cores 4400Mhz
Ring 4800Mhz
Set TVB if any...
Well it is undervolted from default using offset CPU voltage.
I am going to assume you mean a manual voltage with straight LLC setting that does voltage 1:1 then yes I did.If you mean something else please let me know the BIOS has many different...
Truthfully I thought about it and to see how far it will go,I read it tops out at 438 Watts. I will test it out and see if I can hit RTX 4090 600W levels
Yes 100% true undervolt keeps it under 100℃. Here is the real reality of just using the CPU if you do not change stuff.
Both my 14900KF can do 400Wats trying to compete with RTX 4090.
I am a PC gamer only. I expected the same 4K FPS but I am disappointed in actual clock speeds running PC games.I was just going to buy 1 14700KF to overclock to 6200Mhz but I never buy just one anything , so I bought 2 x 14900KF and not impressed...
Did up a video recording on crap phone
Simple BIOS settings anyone can handle by adjusting offset CPU voltage for your CPU and CPU Cooling.
Results all with HWinfo on showing voltage and temperatures
Max wattage -334 W
Max Temperature -95℃...
Grabbed a couple of 14900KF,tested a few BIOS on 14900KF and I just found this weird.I thought it was clock stretching on the 14900KF but maybe IPC there is just no improvement or I have no clue of what is going on or the tools are just different...
