    They are gonna go to subscription and more data collection. They put the cloud authentication in place years ago. I remember people having issues on their own LAN when either the auth server whent down PR some sort of L2 wide internet issues some years back

    There is a gateway max and a cloud gateway max if I remember right. Non cloud can be adopted in to a self hosted controller vs a cloud or router hosted controller
