Might be a stupid question. Did you try a HDMI 2.1 cord? I know the TV is 2.0 only but maybe the video card likes the 2.1 cord over a 2.0 cord? I am grasping at straws....

TSMC has released their 3D-Vcache design notes and it seems it is currently limited to 7nm and they don't yet have it working on their smaller nodes, the direct bonding process they have seems to have alignment issues at that scale, but 2023 is a...

I would advise against upgrading to an end of life platform. This chip really is only a reasonable upgrade for those already on AM4.

i got a coupon for $50 off 5800x from microcenter. glad I didn't use that because it seems like the 3d cache really is worth it for gaming. im quite amazed. Should be an awesome bump from a 3700x.

I recant my previous statement to a point. *For the money, and the power consumption* this is a phenomenal product. However, I don't know if I'll dump my standard 5800x just to get this. But if you're on Ryzen 3000, like a 3600. I'd get this...

That's kind of the point, though. For "the best gaming CPU" on the market, benefits are minimal for gamers who are playing new games at modern resolutions. If you want to play GTA5 or older Ubisoft titles at 1080p, you might as well just go play...

Would be hard to go faster than the cheaper 5900 if your compilation workload is quite parallelized (not sure if they count has load bearing):

Considering you will be more GPU bound at 1440p/4k, it would not show how much more performance a CPU would be since all the CPU's would get right around the same framerate. That's what a GPU bottleneck is.

Wow aftering seeing the HUB and Gamers Nexus reviews. The chip really is great for gaming. There are some impressive results in gaming. I was shocked how well it did vs a 12900k/ks with 6400mhz DDR5 memory. looking forward to see the next...

Ah, no. "The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D primarily focuses its marketing on gaming advancements, which is because the additional L3 Cache layer on the X3D will mostly be visible in gaming scenarios. Impact to certain production applications, like...

You know, I guess one thing that does kind of blow my mind.....It uses what half the power of the 12900K/12900KS to get the same performance in gaming while being 1ghz less in clock speeds. Again this is for gaming purposes only. I have to...

O yeah, if you game at 4k, and even in some regards 1440p, the CPU won't make much of a difference. Anyone who thought it would doesn't understand what a GPU bottleneck is.

Not bad. So for $450 you get a CPU which is as fast as a 12900K and 12900KS in gaming overall. I think anyone who owns a 5600x or above can pass on this. But if you own a 2000/3000 ryzen, this will be a decent upgrade path when it comes to...
