I am currently out of town working, but was offered an Asus Rog Strix 8gb GTX 1080 that has not been mined and was purchased in 2018 for $380 through a friend. It appears they sell for more than that on ebay and I think here, but I honestly have limited time to look into it to see if its...
Thanks guys, I appreciate the input. Sixfootduo, I sent you a PM, I wanted your opinion on something if you could. My entire experience with Newegg was bad from the beginning so this will be my last go with them. My order was damaged before it was even delivered and the warehouse held it and...
I know, avoid Newegg as much as possible. In this case the deals were just too good.
My Asrock board will only recognize channel a memory, so I think it has to go back.
Is it preferable to exchange with Newegg or RMA via Asrock? (I am aware of the new egg issues and am prepared to...
When is that supposed to happen.
I dont want to buy used, especially with the Never Settle bundle. There's a fine line between when prices drop because the new series comes out and when they stay steady because of availability.
Yeah, I worry about that. Bought the 5850 used and it's run ok, but I cannot overclock it at all. The default OC utility works, but this series gets flicker when you use it with dual monitors. No matter what BIOS I use, if it's not the factory one I cannot OC even .1 percent.
Wow, sorry, preoccupied with the Seahawks/Falcons game.
Currently running a 5850 and an OCZ Modstream 700 watt
all wrapped up in a Corsair 500r
Main monitor is a Dell 2209WA running @ 1680 * 1050.
The reason it would be reference cooling is because those seem to be the cards in the price...
Obviously for a used 7970 I am taking whats offered, typically reference designs to keep the prices similar to a new 7950 (maybe Gigabyte triple fan)
Thoughts? Is it worth the hassle and possible warranty issues?
