Sync two computers over the internet

I got around to sort slapping together the remote machine this weekend. I got syncthing up on running on both machines and synced a few files. It wasn't that bad to get working. Now to take one machine to a different location so it isn't local and make sure it is good to go. If that works...

Alexa is evil (If you didn't already know, now you know)

AKA muriatic acid in the pool isle at your local super center throw in some galvanized nails and you get H2. or melt the pennys to get the zinc out. I finally got good at getting H2 gas.

I was born in 77, so you got the jump on me slighly... But what about these ways to stay entertained? Used battery to separate water to get hydrogen for "experiments" Check Used controller from electric train set to get hydrogen faster. Check Use soldering iron to make wires and burn the...

Not sure those would work quite right... I'm not really an expert on these services especially in the weeds of them. BUT, my DVD collection stands at 13TB. If I were to rip a new bluray, that would be in the 15GB range by itself. If it were on one drive for example, I believe the file would...

Sync two computers over the internet

So this really isn't a cloud thing per-se, but not sure where else this goes... I have a collection of extracted DVDs that are currently on one of my machines. What I want to do is set up a second machine with my DVD library at second location (a cabin), first for redundancy and then so I can...

Gaming rig upgrade under a budget.

Just a theory, but I wonder if the shuffle prioritizes customers that have purchased recently.... I have been selected three times, but have purchased stuff... Just keep entering and checking fateka, roguecast and parallel miner... Or, you could get crazy and plan a vacation to microcenter.

Uses for an old system?? Asus Z77 / 2600k

Emby/plex/jellyfin media server. RIP your DVDs and house them there. The 1080ti can re-encode them on the fly for different bandwidths...like for a computer on a mobile connection, etc. Heck, I use a 1050ti and it can do like four streams at once.

Would it be naïve to sell my Vega 56 for $$$ to buy a better card "when" prices fall again?

Food for thought.... Ethereum is the big thing being mined. BUT, there was a sweet spot for Vegas...they were performing similarly to a 3080 on Ergo. A few weeks ago, there was a change that essentially gave a vega 75% performance on Ergo. That made the value a lot less for a vega. I don't...

    Headset/mic suggestions

I will preface this by saying I have no experience in this arena...zip, zero, nada. I normally just yell across the room... I need some suggestions for some decent headset/mic units to give to Santa Claus for my son and I. He like to play minecraft and our PCs are in different rooms, so he...

Need help tuning an Asus 3090

Those 3080s and 3090s with the ddr6x just get hot. I have two tuf 3090s. One is in my regular PC and seems to get 110-115mh in windows. I set the OCs in the miner. I also put another heatsink and fan on the back and my ram still is in the mid 90s. Without it, it would throttle...
