"nVidia finally responds to 4090 cables melting..."

Nvidia hasn't declined any warranties that I've seen. So the user is out the use of his card for a few days while they RMA it. Times Nvidia deserves our hate, this doesn't seem like one of those times.

Extreme Tech a little late to the party.

Nvidia 4090 meltdown maybe an answer

I feel like a recall isn't going to happen. I believe the "Hey, check and make sure your connectors are fully seated!" has pretty much caused the problem to go away. Nothing new on Reddit since Gamers Nexus video. Newer connectors will probably eventually have their signal cables shortened to...

Are you camping out / lining up for an RTX 4080?

Without crypto miners to inflate the prices, yeah this should be a $800 card. It's performance is great but for the price diffrence, get a 4090 instead.

Nvidia 4090 meltdown maybe an answer

I would still expect them to have SOME statement eventually. "Hey guys, be extra careful when connecting everything. Many of the problem we're seeing are caused by a few avoidable mistakes". But I get what you're saying, saying nothing is probably safer position for them.

Which RTX 4090 card are you planning or consider to get?

Saw a RTX4090 power support clip on Printables and decided to make it for fun. Came out well. Don't think it would close in a standard depth case. Anyway, I figured I would share in case any others wanted to check it out. https://www.printables.com/model/304955-nvidia-4090-power-cable-support-clip

Which RTX 4090 card are you planning or consider to get?

While everyone was queued up for cards, I managed to get a order in for a MSI MPG A1000G PCIE5 PSU. Will be at my local store on Monday for pickup. Shipping wasn't an option.

Which RTX 4090 card are you planning or consider to get?

So has anyone actually checked if they have a 300v or a 150v? I'm FE gang so till I see a FE affected I'm hands off. I did think it was interesting that Igor had a 150v and all of Gamers Nexus adapters were 300v. On the flip side; on reddit some people are stating they have melted adapters and...
