The Sapphire R9 290 Vapor-X. The first one died and was replaced by RMA within the two years. The replacement was a refurbed older unit I think because I was able to flash it to a 290x. It lasted long enough for the warranty to lapse. I never really looked into the strengths of different cards when I bought it. I found out after the fact that it had a weaker VRM than the reference design. Left a really bad taste in my mouth for Sapphire. Amazon has a used one for only $586.
 
Without trying to read through pages upon pages of the thread, how often does AMD's store put out GPU stock and how realistic is it to get? I stumbled on their store yesterday morning but not until like 15 minutes before stock was put up. Was like 50 minutes into the queue that looked like sold out within a minute or two. I'm still leaning toward a 6800 as my sweet spot needs but not at the AIB or higher pricing. Can keep holding out if needed until I find something sane.

Yeah, I'm sure that bots have figured out how to grab the very first queue positions. A real person is probably lucky to manually grab within the first thousand. and of course, they don't have that many cards each drop...

There's a public browser addon to skip the Best Buy queues, so no doubt people have privately found way to skip other sites.
People found a way to share Newegg Shuffle purchase links with each other wayyy back at the beginning of the year.

I wouldn't be surprised if we start hearing stories about people skipping ahead in the EVGA queue...

I got a free shirt. First 500 people in the queue that used newt's code got one. After waiting since dec2, it was my turn in line for a 3060 ti. Didnt realize i signed up for like the worlds smallest one though. So its a bit nosier, but 5c cooler than founders. And if i have to, it can fit 2 normal 92mm on it.

DONE! ram will be going up for sale once I have it and i will sell it cheaper than I paid for it. First new video card for me in maybe almost 4 years.. 1080 ti has been kicking butt for so long.

Grats! I only lucked into a 3090 bundle that i thought I had unchecked cause I didnt want a $600 intel mobo. Hindsight I maybe should of just sucked it up and forked out the $2800

Hopefully in the next few months I can hit something for a 3080/3080TI/3090 and replace my 980ti thats dying
 
Got selected for the EVGA 3060 dual/psu bundle. After tax and shipping with a $20 rebate it comes out to $575. 9th time i have been selected
 
Ah, BestBuy. $199 door fee to buy consoles and GPU's now. The upcoming Halo Xbox drop will also require it.

Grats... I bit on an Ebay 3080 Ti hydro last week and just retired my 1080ti SLI setup just last night.

Yeah at first appearance it seemed like a bunch of filler features that BB tried to pad it out with, but maybe some of the perks are legit on further consideration. Maybe they realized they better pad it with something.

And a little known fact BB doesn't advertise: you can get the full $199 TotalTech fee refunded after you make your console or GPU purchase. Some people have already done it via online chat or phone support.

Finally got picked for a Newegg Shuffle.
3080Ti and Gigabyte Z590 board are on the way.

This lines up great with Costco's sale on the 48" C1 for $1099 that starts on 10/27.

This card won't fit in my ITX case. I have to decide weather I'll start a full rebuild now or start by just moving everything into an ATX case for now.
