Hopefully they will keep telling the large pub houses to eat a bag of rotten dicks.

They don't need a publisher. They only need retail distribution for locations outside of Europe. CDP is a large publisher already. They get way more money per sale of their games than EA could ever promise them.

Still left with residual drooling from the newest video. I just recently finished TW2 the other night (yea, I was way behind, but I waited until i knew I could commit time to it with a new video card), and I loved it, very very much.

That's awesome skyrim still felt small to me. but 3-4 times bigger will be a perfect size. but its going to be chopped into sections that you have to load into. which is a bit disappointing.

I recall they said there would be no loading, all seamless.

If i remember correctly from that first trailer they mentioned multi region. which i took to mean load different areas.

Nope, just different geographical areas. There shouldn't even be any loading when entering buildings, caves or sailing across the water..

They got Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) to do VA for the Emperor of Nilfgaard. Good stuff.

who cares, can't be any worse than skyrim's loading every time you open a door

i don't mind loading into buildings. i hate when you are running around and it randomly starts loading a new area and either goes to a static screen or starts lagging like crazy.

but since this is a non issue we can rejoice! :D

Is it possible to pre-order this yet? CD-Projekt are the only devs that I am prepared to pre-order anything from these days.

So, despite being rated M for mature, sea-shells are still stuck to nipples...

Alright so i got some questions--because i tried The Witcher 2 and hated it... but this just looks so damn good.

Will the new witcher have free movement? I could not stand the lack of jump and how you'd use what would have been a jump button to activate climbing shit.

Do you actually get different weapons or do you use the predefined two like in the second?

What about all the skills? In TW2, it seemed like they just gave you everything at the get-go. How lame. Let me choose what i want!

I think that perhaps you did not play long enough. The game starts a little slow, but it then breaks out and you can start assigning skills in the skill tree.

You could use a couple dozen different weapons in TW2, dork. You could also chose what you wanted, skill-wise.

As far as free movement goes, it will be a bit more free, but I don't know much about the climbing and jumping aspect.

Seriously.....you don't even get through the starting area and you condemned the game. you missed 99% of the content.

That's... hilarious. So they made the opening scene with people who've played TW1 in mind.

Did the first installment start out more regular? (like, where you're a noob and you upgrade your shit?)

That's basically what i like about rpgs. Starting with nothing, and tailoring my awesome.

Yes, in TW1 you're a noob because you died and can't remember shit and don't know why you're alive.

But, you start with very little in TW2 and have to tailor your awesome, too.

The best part of TW1... the UI is leagues above any other modern RPG UI.

Its because they follow a different business model than the Untied States. They listen to their customers and give them what they want. The United States hires suits to tell its customers what they think they want.

These devs also need to have a better product to even compete in the US market.

In The Witcher 2, the beginning you are more or less playing in a flashback. You are given weapons when you are with the king. After that's done, you only start out with bare necessities.

But, with that said, you are a Witcher. You are not your average RPG dork out the gates. You have an innate sense of magic, alchemy and combat skills. It's up to the player on how you develop from there.
